We're invading Warwick this weekend! Jacked is playing at Pennings tonite (6/10) and Halligans tomorrow (6/11). On Sunday, there's a free wine tasting event being held at Museum Village in Monroe, NY. It's being held by the people at Palm Bay Imports, should be a real good time, stop by, it's FREE! Check my Calendar page for Jacked dates. New website, check it out; www.jackedonline.com Jacked is a new classic rock (sort of) cover band playing in the Hudson Valley. Yes, there's a slew of classic rock bands out there. Classic rock can be anything from ACDC to James Taylor. Fortunately, (for me anyway) we don't play any ACDC. Think for a second, how would Led Zeppelins' "Black Dog" sound if it was written by Dave Matthews? How would George Harrisons' "Isn't it a Pity" sound if it were written by Carlos Santana, and it ended up being a song written by Alice Cooper? We play alot of songs you know, as if they were played by other artists. It's funky, groove oriented, melodic, lyric driven music with some killer percussive styles, provided by Sacco. Yes, he's that big, he just goes by one name now. We have been playing together for a few months with a good measure of positive feedback from clubs. We've been recording some tunes and changing things around, seeing where our talents create new grooves out of old material. It's kind of an organic thing that only really happens when you enjoy playing and experimenting together. Come and check us out. We have a few gigs lined up and we plan to record more tunes shortly.
